Son of Dr Antonio Fusco and Stella Giordano. His mother died of in 1837, when Tommaso was six, and his father passed away in 1841, when the boy was ten, and he was educated by his fraternal uncle Giuseppe, a priest. From childhood itself, he has an ardent desire to become a priest and on 22nd December 1855 he became a priest. A most zealous priest, he promoted the cult to the most Precious Blood in local church. Understanding the needs of the time, he directed his apostolate to every form of need of the poor, the sick, children and youth. Fr. Thomas Maria Fusco attracted by the supreme love of the father that he sees reflected in the incarnation of the Word to the shedding of all His Blood and to His resurrection, wants that his daughters engage themselves in “drawing and reflecting’’ the most vivid image of the divine charity with which His Blood was shed. As per our Founder, the charismatic characteristics that qualifies our religious life is the contemplation of the mystery of Christ in the sign of His Blood which is the greatest expression of the Love of the father for His children. Later in life he was the victim of slander when a brother priest became jealous of Thomasso's good works and consequent notoriety. But Father Fusco prayed his way through the matter, continued his work, and was vindicated in the end. He died on 24 th February 1891 at the age of 60, leaving Blessed Fr. Apostolate, Spirituality

Our apostolate are   mainly focused on the education of youth and young people, works of mercy (Hospitals and assistance to the elderly, social assistance, Visiting homes) and catechetical activities. Basis for our spirituality is to commit ourselves to derive and reflect the Most vivid image of the Divine Charity with which Christ’s Blood was shed and of which that Divine Blood was and is a sign, an expression, a measure, and a pledge. Therefore, we always perceive in the Blood of Jesus not only the proof of His greatest Love, but also the Supreme and undisputable manifestation of the love that the father has for humanity. And this has been the “object of our love and adoration”. The Crucifix is an object of Contemplation, reflection and meditation for us. It is this Divine Charity of the Blood that specifies and defines our identity as Daughters of the Charity of the Most Precious Blood.
